In World of Warcraft, making gold is one of the most popular ways that people enjoy the game, and grinding is how they get all of their new items and abilities. Ever since patch 3.0, herbs have become one of the more popular gold making activities since they keep their value and can be used by several professions. Now that there are many new herbs available in Northrend, it’s certain that making gold with herbs will be on the rise.
The Best Places in Northrend
Some spots in Northrend are easier to make gold in than others. In the Borean Tundra, the Tiger Lily and Goldclover appear near the DEHTA camp towards the middle of the map. There are also many herbs that only show up in certain areas. In Zul’Drak, the Talandra’s Rose will yield a lot of gold, and you’ll find even more herbs that can earn up to 100 gold in the two zones of Sholazar Basin, Icecrown Glacier, and Storm Peaks. If there’s no one else around, you can be making incredible amounts of gold in no time at all.
Best Ways for Maximizing Gold Income
In order to maximize gold income, you need to find places that no one else is farming. Sholazar Basin, Zul’Drak, and Storm Peaks are great places to farm that offer many smaller patches of closely packed herbs. Try to look for maps on the internet or install Gatherer if you’d like to maximize gold income. Don’t forget to sell your Crystallized Life that you get from almost every herb you come across.
For anyone with an Herbalism skill of 400, herbs are highly valuable. Once you get your skill higher at around Level 70, you can make 4,000 to 10,000 before you reach Level 80.
